Use case
Uncensored GPT Alternative: Odin, With Far Fewer Refusals
An uncensored GPT alternative for people and teams tired of refusals. Odin answers directly, stores no API prompts and works with the OpenAI SDK in two lines.
InterOdin is an uncensored GPT alternative for people and teams who keep hitting refusals in mainstream assistants. Its model, Odin v1, answers legitimate questions directly, in a web chat or through an OpenAI-compatible API. This page compares it honestly with the assistants you already use, shows how to switch from the OpenAI SDK by changing two lines, and lists the few things that are still not allowed.
Why people look for an uncensored GPT alternative
Mainstream assistants are tuned to be cautious. That caution is reasonable for a general consumer product, but it lands on a lot of legitimate work. If you have ever rephrased the same question three times, or received a lecture instead of an answer, you know the pattern.
Requests that mainstream models often refuse or water down, and that Odin answers directly:
- Security research. "Explain what this obfuscated PowerShell dropper does, step by step, and which indicators I should hunt for."
- Medicine and drug safety. "What happens if someone combines these two medications at these doses, and what are the warning signs of a dangerous interaction?"
- Fiction with dark themes. "Write the interrogation scene from the antagonist's point of view, without softening it."
- Frank legal questions. "My landlord is keeping my deposit. What are my realistic options, and where am I on weak ground?"
- Penetration testing. "Turn these raw notes from an authorised engagement into a findings section with severity and remediation."
Odin is not built to be edgy. It is built to treat adults as adults and answer the question that was asked. The goal is fewer false refusals on real work, not a model that does whatever it is told.
Odin compared with mainstream assistants
A fair comparison, based on how mainstream assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini typically work. Their policies differ between providers, plans and settings, so check each provider's own terms for the details. InterOdin is an independent service and is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, any of them.
The last row matters. If you need image or PDF understanding, a mainstream assistant is the better tool for that task. Odin is focused on text: writing, analysis, code and long documents.
Two ways to use it: web chat and API
The web chat at interodin.com/en/chat is the quickest way to try an unrestricted GPT-style model. Sign up, open the chat and ask the question your usual assistant refused. No code, no setup.
The API at https://api.interodin.com/v1 is for developers and teams who want Odin inside their own tools. It offers two models:
odin-v1: the most capable model, with a 1,000,000-token context window and thinking turned on by default.odin-flash: faster and cheaper, with a 262,144-token context window.
Both support streaming and tool calling (function calling). A web search tool is available on the Messages and Responses APIs, billed per search. For a deeper look at the API itself, see the unrestricted AI API page.
Switch from the OpenAI SDK in two lines
If your code already uses the official OpenAI SDK, moving to an unrestricted GPT alternative means changing the base URL and the API key. Everything else, including your messages, streaming and tool definitions, stays the same.
Create a key in the console. Keys start with io-sk-. Store it in an environment variable:
Then point the client at InterOdin:
Prefer curl? The same request works over plain HTTP:
The same base URL works with the Anthropic SDK, the Vercel AI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Cursor, Cline, Roo Code, Continue and n8n. There is also a setup script that adds a claudeodin command so you can run Claude Code on Odin models next to your normal claude. For coding agents, see Claude Code for security tooling. Step-by-step guides are in the quickstart and the OpenAI SDK integration guide.
Privacy and billing, without the fine print
Privacy. Prompts and completions sent to the API are never stored. InterOdin keeps only the metadata needed for billing and your usage logs: token counts, latency and status.
Billing. You buy prepaid credits in EUR or USD. There is no subscription and no monthly minimum, and credits never expire. Auto-recharge is optional. Each API key can have its own monthly spend limit, which is useful when you hand keys to a team, a script or an agent. Current rates are on the pricing page.
Unfiltered for legitimate work, with clear limits
Odin is unfiltered for legitimate work: research, security, fiction, medicine, law and frank advice. It is not a tool for harming people, and the Acceptable Use Policy still applies. These are not allowed:
- Sexual content involving minors.
- Non-consensual intimate content, including fake intimate images of real people.
- Chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons.
- Terrorism.
- Human trafficking.
- Fraud, scams and phishing.
- Creating or spreading malware.
- Accessing systems or data without permission.
- Harassment and doxxing.
- Spam and disinformation.
The line is simple. Analysing a malware sample so you can detect it is security research. Writing new malware to deploy against others is not. If you work in security, the blog shows what this looks like in practice: security research with fewer refusals, malware analysis with Odin and pentest report writing with AI.
Who it is for
- Security teams doing threat hunting, detection engineering, CTF practice and report writing.
- Writers working on crime, war, horror and other fiction where the dark parts matter.
- Clinicians, researchers and students who need plain answers about doses, interactions and risks.
- Developers who want an OpenAI-compatible model that does not break their app with unexpected refusals.
- Anyone who wants frank advice on legal, financial or personal questions without a disclaimer for every sentence.
To get started, open the web chat or create an API key in the console.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best uncensored GPT alternative?
It depends on what you need. If you want a GPT-style model that answers legitimate security, medical, legal and creative questions directly, with an OpenAI-compatible API and no stored API prompts, InterOdin with Odin v1 is built for that.
Is there a ChatGPT alternative without restrictions?
Every responsible service has some limits. InterOdin is an alternative to ChatGPT with far fewer refusals on legitimate work, while still prohibiting a short list of harmful uses such as malware, fraud and content involving minors.
Is InterOdin affiliated with OpenAI or ChatGPT?
No. InterOdin is an independent service offering the odin-v1 and odin-flash models. It is compatible with the OpenAI SDK, but it is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI.
Can I use my existing OpenAI code with Odin?
Yes. Change the base URL to https://api.interodin.com/v1 and use an InterOdin API key. Chat completions, the Responses API, streaming and tool calling work the same way.
Does InterOdin store my chats or prompts?
API prompts and completions are never stored. Only metadata such as token counts, latency and status is kept for billing and usage logs.
Do I need a subscription to use the uncensored AI chat?
No. InterOdin uses prepaid credits in EUR or USD with no subscription and no monthly minimum, and unused credits never expire.
Can Odin read images or PDFs?
No. Odin is text only, so paste the text you want it to work with. Its 1,000,000-token context window on odin-v1 is large enough for long documents and codebases.
